Terms of Service

1. What the app does

The app connects your Shopify store to an affiliate programme operated by Tacotech. It records sales that were driven by publishers in that programme, and shows you those sales, the commission due on them, and the traffic behind them.

The app does not change your storefront, your checkout, your prices or your orders. It reads order data and adds tracking; it writes nothing back to your store beyond the tracking itself.

2. The app is free

There is no charge for installing or using the app. Tacotech does not bill you through Shopify, and installing the app creates no payment obligation.

Commission on affiliate-driven sales is governed by a separate commercial agreement between you and Tacotech, entered into before your programme goes live. That agreement sets the commission rate, what it applies to, and how it is invoiced. Nothing in these terms creates a charge on its own.

If you have not entered into a commercial agreement with Tacotech, the app will show you your affiliate sales but no commission figure, and you will not be invoiced.

3. Getting started

After you install the app, Tacotech sets up your affiliate account and switches tracking on remotely. There is nothing for you to install or configure. Until that is done, the app shows a setup screen.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate business and billing information
• Not misrepresent the programme to publishers or customers
• Keep your Shopify store and its terms compliant with applicable law
• Tell us if you remove the app or close your store

5. Our responsibilities

We agree to:

• Track and report affiliate sales accurately and on the basis agreed with you
• Handle your data as described in our privacy policy and Data Processing Agreement
• Give reasonable notice of changes that materially affect the service
• Respond to support requests within a reasonable time

6. Accuracy of reporting

Affiliate attribution depends on data from browsers, from Shopify and from the publisher network. We make reasonable efforts to record every attributable sale, but no attribution system captures every case: ad blockers, cleared cookies and cross-device journeys can all prevent a sale from being attributed.

Sales shown as pending have not yet been approved by the network and may be declined, in which case no commission is due on them.

7. Suspension and termination

You may uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin. Uninstalling stops tracking immediately and ends the processing described in our DPA. Commission already earned on sales attributed before uninstall remains payable under your commercial agreement.

We may suspend the service where required by law, where Shopify requires it, or where continued operation would cause harm, and will tell you why.

8. Liability

The app is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, Tacotech is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or revenue arising from the use or unavailability of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated to you directly and will take effect no sooner than 30 days after notice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes shall be heard by the Swedish courts.
